“For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” – Ephesians 2:10
You are destined for impact. God has already prepared the way.
What if there is 1 story that can be changed forever because you said yes to Jesus and started to serve?
We know it can be intimidating. Remember, what is unknown to us is known to God.
The Bible speaks of giving God our first fruits. Give God your best. We believe that is true of our time, talents, and treasure. As followers of Jesus, we give generously in the local church and in our communities.
Most church websites include a giving link. We encourage you to go to your local churches website and give there. Whether it is a one time gift, monthly, or pre-set recurring giving we know that it will bless the work God is doing through your church.
From the perspective of a pastor, please consider recurring giving. This helps your church know how much they can expect in the future which only grows their ability to plan ahead.
The local church is better when we give generously.
In March of 2022, Barna reported that the percentage of pastors who have considered quitting full-time ministry within the past year sits at 42 percent.
We are not ok with that. A lot of things can contribute to burnout, but we don’t want a lack of encouragement to be one of them.
Pastors are the first to be called when the worst of life happens. They extend themselves outside of 40 hours a week because ministry never stops. They put their heart on their sleeve every Sunday to help move people closer to Jesus.
A small encouraging word goes a long way.
Write a handwritten letter to your pastor this week. Grab them a coffee gift card. Offer to take them out to lunch just to hang out. Click the “email template” for a preloaded email to help encourage your pastor.
Father,
The local church is the doorway to hope, healing, and home for your people.
You established your church through the Holy Spirit that it would be a place that crosses borders, languages, and cultures. It would be a place that makes the gates of hell tremble. It would be a place that produces fully devoted disciples of Jesus.
The church is made to make disciples. Bring us back to the heart of the gospel and the mission of the church. The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. God bring kingdom workers to the harvest. Raise up leaders to lead the local church with humility, passion, and grace.
May the church be the hands and feet of Jesus to the world.
In Jesus name,
Amen
